Taking a Break

I'm behind with everything, and I'm going to have to let the blog drift along in the stream a bit as I try to get my backlogged house upkeep and some projects back on course.

I also have to get my head around a new turn in direction for our homesteading efforts. The acquiring land thing has not been an easy process...it's more of a series of closed doors, dead ends, and a lot of negotiating and waiting. I had hoped to be able to make an announcement soon along the lines of some final progress, but at the 11th hour the other party reneged. So sometimes the expectations and re-adjustments of mindset are a bit of a roller-coaster, but it's all good. It's not a bad thing because we do trust that there's a right timing and a right place, and it will manifest when it's meant to. (Of course we're doing our part to keep things rolling along)

I need a break for a few days, and I'll be back refreshed. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Maybe I'll get a chance for some minutes of down time to just sit back and enjoy all your wonderful blogs...seems like things have been so busy I've been missing out on catching up.

Along those lines, I'd like to wish a very special congratulations to Karl and Tabitha at the Omelay site for the recent birth of their newest son! Everyone looks tired and very very happy, and we wish them all the best!

Hoping to be back soon... :)

Thanks Robbyn, Peace to you in your time of rest.

It's funny, but even if I say it, I'll never really be able to get across how much your kind words have meant to me. This weekend has been a struggle, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I'm sorry to hear that your homestead plans didn't materialize. It's very frustrating - been there ... :), and in the end, I decided that we were best staying put and digging in here.

Rest and relax ... see you when you get back ;).

Hi Robbyn! I apologize for taking so long to get back with you, my cherished friend. We've been swamped and I have come down with a flu-like thing that is horrible and nasty and makes me feel like a street urchin because I have dirty hair and not the energy to wash it. How about that for too much information?

Aside from all that,I thought I'd tell you that on my site (which is currently under construction), you can see the most recent posts by clicking on any of the pages at the bar on the top or the titles from the little index thingy. From there a post will appear and to the right of the post is a column and in that column is a section called: Recent Posts. I know. A bit tedious but things will change gradually. Promise.

Blessings to you!

Lacy

(((((((big blog hug to all you friends!)))))))) I'm still trying to regroup and get my brains around some new effort for land. I'm a bit blue about how things have gone down so far...we came very very close this time. Right up to the signing day. Ugh, the sucker punches of life. Yes, there is a better plan. And I hope it's soon :) I'll be back when I'm more caught up and less mopey! I love you guys :)

Hope something turns up for you # it did for me: I flew to Ireland to sign the contract on a place, returned & collected my childer, thentried to swet in motion everything for our move to a new country. I waited & waited on the house & when the news came through it was to be told that the vendor had removed the property from the market & "hard luck" (that from the vendor ~ the autioneer & solicitor were furious about her attitude & behaviour. This was 3 weeks before we had planned on moving! A few months later I found this place & although things weren't smooth, it's now mine :)

Killi, I had a tempting offer to move to Ireland right after my first marriage ended (not the best time in my life), but I ended up staying because there would have been no way take my daughter, too. I have dear friend in the North...I didn't move there, but I did visit :)

The year after my ex was arrested & removed, Russian & Ukranian friends tried to persuade me to move to Krym (Crimea)! The idea of my Russian guitarist friend was that I should marry his Gypsy fiddler so he had a UK passport & I could get Ukranian citizenship! I didn't take up the marriage offer, but I did go house-hunting in Krym. It was a Russian Gypsy fiddler that told me to come to Ireland as he'd made a life in Ireland (at the time he was trying to persuade me, he was living in Glasgow & hating it). I took his advice as my ex was stalking my younger daughter & her nightmares had returned, so we needed to move quickly & I wasn't allowed to take my childer to Russia as no language school would give visas for family.

It's Bedlam here & everyone & every animal is mad, but if you can face the madness, you'll be welcome to visit us here on Mother Mountain in co. Tipperary uif you come back to Ireland again. I'm not sure just how far I am from the North ~ I could ask my friend Jamie as his mother is up there
