We don't get much in the way of fall colors down here per se, at least not any leaves changing or the blushing foliage kissed with cold snaps.
But here's our next best thing...
Golden backlighting...
But here's our next best thing...
Golden backlighting...
And more gold
Then some russets, corals, garnet
Clarets, ports, burgundies
Melting into the grays, blues. Salmons, pumpkins, persimmons, rose...
and then fading away. Children playing in an ocean of pink...
My sweetheart wading with me in the shallows
A fisherman trying to cheat the dark for one last whiting
and the great blue heron, looking on.
Who's watching whom?
The water was quiet last night, unlike the week before. Every time, it's different, and I love watching its changing moods, indescribable hues, the sights and smells. The breezes feel so nice to drink in, and I love the sand and water against my feet and toes as we stroll, stand in drifts of tiny shells, or follow the crisscrossed designs of children's footprints.
It's not the New England coast or an Ozark or Appalachain mountainside, but it's a Florida version of wonderful :)

Those are incredible photos! Think I'd frame some of those beauties!
Brenda
Thanks, Brenda :) The amazing thing with the photos is that they're unretouched, with the exception of one of the heron ones that I just made a tad sharper in contrast. I'm in love with all the colors! :)
That's mighty pretty. I love the colors of fall...pretty much anywhere! It's hard to beat a sunrise over the ocean
Beautiful photos! Nicely done.
Beautiful photos.
Great pics. Makes me wanna be be the ocean. It has been so long.......
What amazing pictures!
Wow - incredible sunset photos...I've been having a hard time getting our colors to show up in my pics...what I see with my eyes vs. what I get in my photos are two vastly different things.
Really enjoyed looking at these - thanks!
I'd trade a Florida beach for a New England beach any day of the week!
WOW! Those are really, really special.
OMY Gosh.... It makes me miss Florida! Gorgeous photos! Hope you had fun!
Beautiful, robbyn. Just beautiful.
Wonderful pictures
Hey, Robbyn,
IMO, there is just nothing like watching the water, Every time I go to Memphis, I absolutely have to go downtown and get a river fix. LOL.
Love the photos, You and your camera have a great relationship going.
thank you for the most breathtaking photos and sharing a Florida fall. =)
Warren, thank you..I can't get enough of those colors, either :)

Taylor, I was thinking more of the leaves in New England :)
Thank you, Laurie :) Ah, I hug the camera. My last one just didn't seem to relay the reality of what it was seeing very well.
Christina, a lot of fun :) Thanks!
Angie, thanks! It was fun seeing all ages of folks out there and especially fun seeing the kids having so much fun in the water :)
Killi, thanks! You've got some pretty amazing Irish views where you are :)
Barbara, ah, I love the Big Muddy..bet it's a bit high this year with all the rain? did you hear the Delta Queen may be no more as of this month? (sigh...)
Annette, thanks! It's so neat how no sunset is ever the same, eh? and they're all so beautiful :)
I lived a while near the coast of Wales & we had spectacular sunsets there. Somehow I miss getting them here, probably something to do with having the rest of the mountain behind me, getting in the way! I do have some incredible views from up here ~ I'm so lucky. I was chaqsing the puppy, so missed getting a picture of my yellow house painted pink by the sunrise ~ by the time I had him where I wanted him, the house was yellow again.
Having lived on the Somerset Moors near the Isle of Avalon, I love the magical mists & we get similar here, with the valley covered & the hills & trees coming out of nothing.
These photos are incredible , love them all. It's wonderful how you captured Autumn colors of the beach.
