Whatever had been done to notify was clearly insufficient and leaves me suspicious that no effort at all was made (after comparing notes with neighbors).

Small farm girl...yes :( !!

Lisa, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. It left me wondering if there are areas of the country where the individual counties have regular plans in place to clear fire zones or something, and how those counties go about educating or notifying landowners. Surely they do??Robbynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01860870861321231048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6627749570719712047.post-88472447502228736672010-07-27T06:50:14.127-07:002010-07-27T06:50:14.127-07:00I actually had to read this twice, send it to my h...I actually had to read this twice, send it to my husband and read it again. I was so irate the first time I thought "I must have read this wrong". I didn't though because I read it 3 times and it still says that the county came in and cleared a WHOLE STRIP without the land owner's permission.

I have a cabin with several acres that we don't get to be at during the week. I cannot imagine how devastated (and quite pissed off) i would be if the county came in and cleared my back acres. I like them wild, I love the moose and the deer that come in my land. I dont want anyone clearing it with OR WITHOUT (especially without) my permission.

I live in NH, live free or die, i am sure that this is happening all over the country. I just have such a hard time understanding it :(lisahttp://shmoopywood.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6627749570719712047.post-53805310592301021362010-07-27T06:29:31.252-07:002010-07-27T06:29:31.252-07:00What a shame. What a shame.small farm girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01485314092236803411noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6627749570719712047.post-57861542530359338972010-07-27T04:28:56.972-07:002010-07-27T04:28:56.972-07:00very frightening.very frightening.Omelayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09084221498316008069noreply@blogger.com
